This year I have to admit that I am nervous about the Vikings draft this year. They will have the 30th pick and should be able to get their hands on a great addition to the 2010 team. Well there are many different positions the Vikings could target: they could try and add some new personel to the offensive line such as a center, look for a quarterback, or even running back to add insurance to AP (with the ideas of Chester Taylor departing in the future). With the 30th pick the Vikings could find a stud OL or maybe look at drafting QB's like Tony Pike or if McCoy is still there, which I doubt they could take him, otherwise they could wait later in the draft for someone like Dan Lefevour. I personally like the idea of going after Tony Pike or a stud cornerback or linebacker. I still believe Brinkley can get the job done and will only improve with time but it is not a bad idea to look into during draft day. Well let me know what you think I would love to hear your opinions.

Adrian Peterson Working on Ball Security

We all know its not a surprise that Adrian Peterson needs to work on holding onto the ball. Peterson has fumbled more than 20 times in his career and lost 13 of them, fumbling twice in the NFC Championship game recovering both of them. I know many people are bashing him on this issue and calling him Tiki Barber. I believe that the main issue is focusing and it is something that can be fixed or at least reduced significantly. Now both of those jobs have been filled and Childress is hoping that he will have his whole coaching staff back next year. Leslie Frazier would be a big loss considering what he has done with the Vikings defense over the past years especially the unstoppable front four on the defensive line. Here is a story with much more detail on the coaching issue. The is no question Favre is reaching his final days of playing competitive football and the decision he faces is not only between winning and loosing but more of whether he can stay healthy and play. Favre has proven he can stay healthy considering the streak of consecutive starts he has put together but how long can his body hold. I hope he returns to win a bowl with the vikes and not end his career throwing an interception. Here is a link to the blog on Minnesota Vikings website on the issue -> Favre

Two Vikings Hoping to Make Hall of Fame

Well on Saturday afternoon the Hall Selection Committee will select this years class for the NFL Hall of Fame. There are two Vikings Cris Carter and John Randle that are up for selection. I hope these guys can make it in, there is no doubt that they are worthy. There is a list of 131 former players that are up for selection into the Hall of Fame and the selection will be announced at 5 pm. ET. I definately think that Jerry Rice is no question worthy and should make this class although it would be nice to see carter and Randle get in.
